Not bust at all early on a Sunday morning. Almost traditional Benedict with a special old bay like dusting, and they provided a steak knife without being asked, so I knew that they knew what they were doing. A lot of places just give you a regular, non-serrated knife. My coffee cup was never empty. Will definitely be trying some other items in the future.

Great spot for breakfast or lunch. Daily specials are always a treat. Friendly staff, flavorful food. Coffee is some of the best in town. Creamy grits and fluffy omelets never disappoint. I've watched this location morph over 30 years. This rendition is by far the best. Make Hart & Soul your next stop for a great dining experience.

I love this place. We came on a Sunday morning. What a great way to start the day. Come and enjoy a pleasant atmosphere with delicious food. Plenty of parking, great menu choices and daily specials.

If you are ever in Hickory you have to come to this cafe!! The sweetest people and the best food by a mile! Their shrimp and grits for breakfast is to die for!!Update: went back the next day and had their Special of Crab & Bacon Tacos. OMG! They were also just as great and the service was just as great! I would go earlier in their service time, as we did have a slight wait to get in when we got here on Day 2 about 10:45.

Local cafe with great food and service. How can you not love a place where the whole kitchen sings when “Sweet Caroline” comes on the radio? The atmosphere was amazing. My companion got the special, it was the Jalapeño Cheddar Sausage bowl, highly recommended. We’ll definitely return.

Wonderful place, hole in the wall nestled in the heart of downtown hickory. Super friendly, was greeted as soon as I walked in. Wasn't too packed or busy, I sat where I wanted. Was quick to get my drinks out and quick to get my food and order. Everything tasted absolutely amazing, grits, eggs, bacon, and more, but the real winner was the biscuit, I have no idea what they do to it but it was buttery and toasted but soft and fluffy. It has now become the best place for me to eat in the mornings

Really good breakfast place. Has a very relaxed atmosphere. You can see the kitchen and staff working/ interacting and it sets a nice friendly vibe. Food was better than in Cracker Barrel....
